Environmental Graphic Designer

We are a small multi-disciplinary team designing compelling solutions that shape environments.

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic designer to join our team. We believe EGD creatively bridges the gap between human interaction with the built environment, providing an overwhelming impact on our end-users through the use of branding, color, signage, materials, exhibits, wayfinding, and digital interaction. This position offers unique opportunities to work and collaborate with a wide range of interdisciplinary clients such as architects, interior designers, and institutional leaders, to integrate innovative visual communication into the buildings and spaces around us.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively in a studio setting to creatively concept, design, and implement layouts for signage, wayfinding, exhibit design, educational graphics, building graphics, and branding for a wide range of clients

  • Define visual communication goals and articulate how they are supported by design concepts

  • Produce design intent and detailed construction document sets for each project for competitive bidding and pricing

  • Collaboratively create and participate in presentations and meetings with clients throughout the design process

  • Develop signage programming plans and prepare message schedules from architectural drawings and models

  • Assist with various construction administration tasks including shop drawings and RFI reviews, installations plans and elevations, and punch list documentation

  • Be accountable for the quality and integrity of design details from concept through implementation

  • Manage time to develop creative solutions within a budget and on time


Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of graphic design, environmental graphic design, industrial design, or architectural experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, industrial design, architecture or other related field

  • Strong graphic and visualization skills with knowledge of graphic arts in relation to 3D design

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail as well as the ability to think strategically

  • Professional and organized with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines

  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office

  • Experience with SketchUP, Revit, AutoCAD, CADTools, or other 3D modeling software
